The past comes back to haunt Nick Torres in the next episode of CBS’s NCIS, and this time, the consequences could be deadly.
Next week, Torres finds himself at the center of a disturbing investigation when his long-retired undercover identity resurfaces in connection with a string of murders. Someone is using the persona he thought he’d left behind, forcing him to revisit a dangerous chapter of his life and confront the possibility that his past is being used against him.
To get to the bottom of the mystery, Torres must reunite with his former undercover handler, Walt Keller, played by guest star Mike O’Malley. Described as a grizzled, old-school operative, Keller brings a very different approach to the investigation, setting the stage for what could be an uneasy but fascinating partnership.
The reunion promises to offer a deeper look into Torres’ history, particularly the darker side of undercover work and the emotional toll of spending so much time living as someone else. For a character who has often struggled with the lasting effects of his past assignments, being forced to confront a version of himself he thought he’d buried could prove especially challenging.
