NCIS: Sydney Exclusive Sneak Peek: A Case Hits Close to Home for Trigger

If you’ve been following along with NCIS: Sydney this season, you know the series has been on a roll.

Juggling a Mackey conspiracy that has us reeling and clamoring to figure out what else is at stake has consumed much of the season.

But there have also been some questions about the enigmatic new addition, Trigger, and we may finally get some answers.

We were fortunate enough to score an exclusive sneak peek of tonight’s episode, and we’re already over the moon excited for what’s to come.

Trigger has been such a delightful addition to the series, and we’ve known all season that there was more to his joining the unit.

JD took him in as some sort of favor, but we haven’t gotten to the bottom of why Trigger needed to be on the move, and why our team was the perfect place for him to land.

And Trigger hasn’t exactly been forthcoming with information, even though he’s successfully managed to settle in well with the rest of the team.

But after those who came after Mackey broke into the office in some effort tied to the mysterious conspiracy, we saw another side to Trigger.

He was a bit darker and certainly more badass as he fended off the assailants, and since those moments, it was more than enough to leave us itching for more background about this character.

So far, he has profound knowledge of explosives, presumably where his nickname derives (unless it’s something even more layered and badass behind that), and he’s pretty adept at tech as well.

He’s worked alongside Blue.

But otherwise, there’s been a huge question mark behind him, and not even Mackey has understood why he was suddenly dropped in their laps.

Now, we may finally get some of the background information we’ve been craving all season.

NCIS: Sydney Season 3 Episode 12 is titled “Lone Wolf Part One”, and yes, it’s the first episode in a two-parter, which already has us excited.

Multi-episode arcs are always thrilling.

The team will get pulled into a case when an explosion kills a bomb squad. It’s presumably one of those whom Trigger may have been close to.

And it’ll result in Trigger in the field more, working the case alongside the team as they attempt to expose what and more importantly who is behind this explosion.

Our exclusive clip offers some details about what this crime scene might look like.

Mackey and JD pull up to the scene and are happy to provide whatever aid they can.

But Trigger is already skeptical about what’s taken place, and some flags go up when he hears that the site wasn’t cleared before the bomb squad went in.

And hell, I’m with Trigger.

It sounds sketchy, and now people are dead.

Based on his expression and how vocal a typically quiet Trigger is here, he’s fully locked into this case, and he won’t stop until he figures out who is behind this.
