One Piece – Renewed For Season 2 Admist WGA Strike

Spoilers

Netflix has confirmed the highly-anticipated second season of One Piece, the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s renowned manga series. Oda himself shared the exciting news in a heartfelt video message on social media-

“To the Straw Hat Grand Fleet! What did you think of season 1 of One Piece live-action? I spent a long time working on it with Netflix and Tomorrows Studio. It seems people around the world have been enjoying the show, which makes the hard work from the production team truly worth it.” he shared. “Two weeks after the launch, I just received some great news. Netflix has decided to renew the show.”

While the anticipation is high, Oda kindly asked for patience, recognizing that it will ‘still take a while’ to finalize the Season 2 scripts due to the ongoing WGA strike. Nevertheless, it’s worth noting that the series boasts pre-existing source material and a well-crafted creative roadmap for Season 2, putting it in a favorable position to navigate the challenges ahead.
