There’s a new king in town, and Frisco, Texas, has no idea what’s coming! The Tulsa King universe is about to get a whole lot bigger, and this time, Samuel L. Jackson is calling the shots. Paramount+ has unveiled the first look at Frisco King, the highly anticipated spinoff from Taylor Sheridan, set to premiere Friday, December 18.
Jackson reprises his role as Russell Lee Washington Jr., the seasoned New Orleans gangster who is ready to build an empire of his own. And judging by the premise, Frisco’s seemingly quiet suburban streets are about to become anything but peaceful.
A New City, A New Empire
Written by Taylor Sheridan, Frisco King follows Lee Washington as he arrives in Frisco, Texas, only to discover that beneath the polished neighborhoods and picture-perfect suburban lifestyle lies a playground full of opportunities for someone who knows how to hustle.
Never one to let a good opportunity slip away, Lee begins assembling his own crew, recruiting an ambitious protégé, a loyal driver, and an increasingly colorful collection of partners. What starts as a series of small-time hustles quickly grows into something much bigger.
But building an empire is never easy, especially when every successful score brings new dangers, unexpected complications, and rivals who may not appreciate the new competition. For Lee, staying on top means staying one step ahead of everyone else. And if there’s one thing fans can expect from a character played by Samuel L. Jackson, it’s that he won’t be backing down without a fight.

Samuel L. Jackson Leads an Exciting Cast
Jackson’s return is undoubtedly the biggest draw, but Frisco King is also bringing together an intriguing supporting cast.
Joining the Oscar-nominated actor are Asa Germann, Kai Caster, Lilah Pate, and Savanna Gann, who will help populate Lee’s increasingly complicated new world. And there’s another familiar face fans of Tulsa King can look forward to seeing: Sylvester Stallone will make a special appearance, connecting the new series to the franchise that started it all.
Exactly how Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi will fit into Lee’s Texas adventure remains to be seen, but the prospect of these two larger-than-life personalities sharing the screen again is certainly something to get excited about.
