Katarina Rostova is one scary individual.
That’s the big takeaway from the official trailer for The Blacklist Season 7 which finds Red at the mercy of the villain.
“I don’t like this, Raymond,” Katarina tells a strung-up Red as one of her associates inserts an IV into his neck and starts draining blood from him.
“I can assure you that before we’re finished, you’re going to tell me everything I want to know.”
It’s certainly an interesting direction because the other characters have no idea who is behind the abduction.

Dembe confirms as much to a stunned Liz.
But Liz has proven time and time again to be resourceful, so it doesn’t take her long to find out who is behind the kidnapping.
It’s hard to imagine the series killing off James Spader’s alter ego, but this show likes to play with expectations, so there will likely be severe ramifications in the aftermath of his brush with death.
If you watch The Blacklist online, you know that Rostova is Liz’s biological mother.

Her relationship with Red is still very much up for debate, but The Blacklist Season 7 will lift the lid on that.
It could be setting up a tussle between Liz and her bio mom, but we’ll need to tune in to find out.
