The Flash Season 6 Episode 5 Review: Kiss Kiss Breach Breach

Spoilers

This season continues to be extrodinary!

The flawlesness of The Flash Season 6 proves it is the best show in the arrowverse.

On The Flash Season 6 Episode 5, Cisco was left in charge of the team and got the unfortunate news that Gypsy died.

It was tragic, but honestly who else forgot she existed?

They were a great couple in the past, and I shed a tear when they separated, but somehow Camilla is so wonderful you forget Cisco dated anyone else.

Camilla is such a kind and supporting girlfriend.

She believed in Cisco when all the odds were stacked against him. She had faith in him when he was losing faith in himself. She never gave up on him, was supportive of him mourning an ex-girlfriend, and followed him into unknown danger to investigate the murder.

She is a keeper.

Barry didn’t choose you to be the Flash. He chose you to be you.

Camilla

Cisco was still struggling with being left in charge after Barry’s death.

He didn’t have faith he could make the right decisions or keep everyone safe, which is understandable. Fact is being a leader is a huge responsibility and that weight can be difficult to carry.

It’s no wonder he created B.A.R.I. to help him figure out how to handle tough situations. It could be considered a modern version of W.W.B.D. (What Would Buffy Do).

Though it’s interesting that Cisco feels that inadequate when it wasn’t too long ago that Barry was leaning on the team for answers all the time. Leadership takes time and practice.

Barry sure had his ups and downs when it came to his decision making, like *cough* Flashpoint *cough*, not to mention constantly revealing his identity.

Thankfully B.A.R.I didn’t last too long.

The numerous interruptions of intimate moments between Cisco and Camilla were hilarious.

He must have tried telling her his true feelings at least four times. He was getting more and more frustrated as things began to unravel, but it made for a good laugh with such a heavy topic.

My brain is the Ryan Gosling of intellects.

Cisco

Having Beacher back, even under these circumstances, was a real treat. Cisco has always had an electric dynamic with father figures, and it was great to watch.

Danny Trejo brings such life to the character, but it was interesting to see him in a different light when he went to Cisco seeking revenge for the death of his daughter.

He trusted Cisco to help justice be served, and that it was.

This episode was a ride that kept everyone guessing. It was framed perfectly that there was a possibility that Cisco was the killer. I believed it for a second myself!

Thank goodness for Camilla and her steady, unyielding faith because Cisco realized what was going on. There was a double of him that had modified his white noise machine to appear like he was experiencing blackouts. He was getting framed for Gypsy’s murder.

Sometimes the truth is the hardest lie to see through. When you can’t put your faith in the truth, all you have is yourself.

Cisco

Did anyone else miss something with Eco? Did we have knowledge about another Cisco at any point?

The saddest part was when Eco revealed how Gypsy died. She hesitated at seeing Cisco’s face on his double. That second was enough to get her killed.

The knowledge that someone sharing your face killed a person you loved is horrifying, but knowing it was partly because you had a relationship is devastating.

The combination of Gypsy’s death and Barry’s doomed future must be overwhelming, but Cisco seemed to be taking everything well.

He reflected by acknowledging that athough he and Gypsy weren’t endgame, she made him a better person. He loved her and he can carry that love with him.

RIP Gypsy, you were a badass chick and great fun. Well, except that time you tried to break-up with Cisco through a high-tech message machine.

Also, did anyone else think that while Cisco was giving his monologue Iris was thinking of Eddie?

Iris looked incredible. Her curly hair was out to make a statement, and it sure did. You don’t have to straighten your hair to be beautiful, and Iris is proof.

Nash Wells and Joe got themselves stuck underground for most of the episode, and we got treated with a Joe story.

It cannot be said enough how much that man was missed last season.

Joe is such a great character with so many layers to explore. His epic speech about faith and his vulnerability was superub.

He is the perfect combination of heart and humor that makes The Flash so successful.

Shush me one more time, and we are going to have a problem.

Joe

When they balance everyone well and lay out good stories, there isn’t a moment you want to miss.

No one was worried Joe would die but good on Ralphy for being so thorough and proving his point in faith. Nash was beside himself on the fact that Joe was right.

Nash Wells, ever so mysterious, claimed he knows a way to save Barry Allen. That got everyone’s attention.

Can the latest Wells even be trusted? Does he have something up his sleeve? Only time will tell.

Sidenote:

  • Iris’ outfits are on fire this season, and they need to make links on where to buy them.

  • We still haven’t seen baby Jenna. Does she exisit?

  • Will Cecile’s daughter ever be clued in on her mother and Barry having powers?

  • Why did we get no West-Allen romance? He might die, and we get nothing.

  • Iris will probably get pregnant from the two-day vacation.
