90 Day Fiance star Tyray Mollett struggled in his season when the person he believed he was talking to was scamming him. However, he refused to let it get him down, as he kept going and forged a new path. Now, he has dropped over one hundred pounds and even got new hair. Tyray Mollett Was Ready To Make A Change
90 Day Fiance fans saw Tyray Mollett, heard his story, and knew something was not right. They believed that he was getting catfished, but he was convinced that he was in love. That proved to be untrue, yet he never gave up hope. Eventually, Tyray decided to make a major change and lost a tremendous amount of weight. He initially had thought about weight-loss surgery, but was uncertain. Then, he stopped to see his mother in the hospital. Unfortunately, it was a struggle for Tyray, and that was the deciding moment.
He had this to say about what propelled him to make a drastic change:
“My mom was in the hospital, and I’m going to check on her, and I’m out of breath. I’m like, wow, this isn’t good. I can’t take care of her and myself. So I told myself I have to make some changes.”
In 2025, Tyray had gastric bypass and went from 418 pounds to around 258 pounds. This has helped him tremendously. However, it also contributed to his hair loss, which he was already dealing with. That made him more self-conscious than he already was, so the 90 Day Fiance star decided he needed to take action. He considered leaving the country, but then found a doctor in Atlanta, Georgia, who was able to help him:
“I feel a lot more confident and comfortable. It has inspired me to put myself back out there. I am looking to date now. I’m not so scared. I don’t feel like I’m a scary beast anymore.”
Additionally, Tyray had some neck tightening and now wants to lose 45 more pounds.
