A lot of families fight and have drama. Apparently, that’s even true for famous NFL families. Aaron Rodgers has been known to have some family drama in the past. While it seems he is able to let some of it go, one rift seems to be too deep to heal. Keep reading to learn more.
Aaron Rodger’s Family Drama
Ever since 2014, Aaron Rodgers has had drama with his family. The source of the drama has never been known by fans and wasn’t even brought to light until his brother, Jordan Rodgers, was on The Bachelorette. During the much-anticipated hometown dates on his season in 2016, he revealed that his now-wife, JoJo Fletcher, would not be meeting his famous brother. At the time, he just explained that Aaron isn’t around.
“Me and Aaron don’t really have that much of a relationship,” he says during the episode. “It’s just kind of the way he’s chosen to do life, and I’ve chosen to stay close with my family and my parents and my brother.”
Jordan was very understanding at the time, noting just how much pressure his brother must be under.
“It’s not ideal, and I love him,” he says. “I can’t imagine what it’s like to be in his shoes and have the pressure he has, the demands from people that he has. I don’t have hard feelings against him. It’s just how things are right now.”
At that time, Jordan wasn’t the only family member Aaron had a problem with. He was in a feud with the whole family. Now, that’s turning around.
Aaron Snubs His Brother
Although they haven’t gotten along in over a decade, Aaron has finally made some progress. He’s reconnected with his mom, dad, and older brother, Luke. However, he still seems to be snubbing Jordan. Jordan was the only one missing in the photos of their reunion. Additionally, Aaron posted several photos from what he is calling “bonding week.”
The reason Jordan is missing has not yet been revealed.
“I’ve been really staunch, going back to when there was a schism, that I feel like that stuff should be off limits,” Aaron reveals according to E!. “Now, not everybody in the family adhered to the same thing, but there are different things, situations, experiences, and people that actually change your life.”
Despite not bonding with his brother, Aaron still seems to have made great progress with the rest of his family. He says he owes all of that to his wife, who has apparently changed his life.
“When I say that my wife has completely changed my life, for the better, there’s no comparison to any time I’ve ever said those words before,” he says. “She is the big impetus behind that (reconciliation). Not that she was pushing it, but just the way that she loves me and supports me, it’s allowed me to open up to that possibility.”
