Andy Cohen slams New York Post

The Watch What Happens Live host admitted he has beef with the New York Post. Andy Cohen didn’t like what the newspaper said about the duo. He read an article that wrote a scathing review about their daytime talk show. Andy felt the need to defend his good friends.

“I have a bone to pick with the New York Post,” Andy Cohen shared on the latest episode of his SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live radio show on Wednesday, April 19. “Mark and Kelly had their premiere the other day. Okay. The New York Post writes an article saying the response to the show was bad, and they quote 10 or seven or five negative tweets about the show. This is a national show that gets, I think, like 5 million viewers a day. It’s the No. 1 morning show.”

He could help but defend the popular ABC talk show. He didn’t like that the writer did their research by looking for negative tweets. Andy admitted there were less than 20 negative comments about the show. He felt that amount didn’t warrant a need to write about the mild criticism against the show.

“Who cares what six randos said on Twitter, you know?” Andy Cohen continued. “But then they did it again on Tuesday. They’re like, ‘Yeah, people still don’t like it.’ You know what? You’re lazy.”

Supports Live with Kelly & Mark

The Bravo head honcho called out the New York Post’s “lazy” reporting. He feels that the outlet was “trying to come up with something to write about.” Andy Cohen explained it as if the writer was “picking [their] butt.” The New York Post article also claimed that he supported Kelly and Mark amid the reported backlash.

According to the report, the Post claimed that Andy shared an image of Snoopy that read “Keep your head up” as a message to his friends amid the backlash. Andy argued that the photo he posted “has nothing to do with anything.” Mark Consuelos joined Kelly Ripa this week on the daytime talk show after Ryan Seacrest’s departure last week.
