Regina Hall plays Cindy’s best friend, Brenda. But despite starring in the first four films, both actresses were left out of Scream 5.

She joined Seth Meyers on his late-night talk show on Tuesday. Without any prompting, she shared messy behind-the-scenes details of how the sixth movie came about. She revealed that the Wayans brothers lost ownership of the franchise after the second movie. They reached out to her to star in the new movie after regaining ownership.
Anna Faris jumped into an odd story of social media stalking Seth Meyers. She revealed that she created a fake YouTube account to leave anonymous comments praising him. “I’m at a stage in my life where I really want to express my gratitude,” she explained.
Seth Meyers read some of the comments to the audience. The actress praised his hair and wrote that she wanted to give him an award. After he read the comments, she presented him with a bizarre award of a glass feather with “Seth Meyers #1 Great Authentic” engraved on it.
“I want you to be able to dream of flight. You still have to have aspiration,” she responded when he asked why the award was a feather.
