Kimberlin Brown First Played Sheila On The Young & The Restless, Even Before The Bold & The Beautiful
Brown first took on the role of Sheila Carter on The Young and the Restless in 1990. In 1992, she would also start appearing as the character on the soap’s sister show, The Bold and the Beautiful.
Brown would continue to appear on both soaps over the years. However, she has been on The Bold and the Beautiful after her latest return to the soap in 2021. In addition, Brown has appeared in a number of different soaps over the years, from Port Charles to One Life to Live.
However, recent events have fans wondering if Sheila might soon be leaving the soap. During recent episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful, the character learned that her husband, Sean Kanan’s Deacon, was having an affair with Taylor, played by Rebecca Budig.
In the past, Sheila might have plotted revenge. However, she showed a vulnerable side with Deacon. She simply walked away, even when he shared his feelings for Taylor.
Sheila Has Come Back From Worse On The Soap, Even Death Itself
In fact, Sheila claimed that she was leaving. However, she declared that this wasn’t the end for Deacon and her, vowing that she would return.
Thanks to this, many fans are wondering if the soap is planning to have Sheila, as well as Kimberlin Brown herself, make an exit from the soap. At this time, neither the showrunners nor Brown herself confirmed such a move.
In fact, executive producer Brad Bell actually teased that the soap currently has big plans for Sheila in mind during an interview with Michael Fairman TV. According to Parade, he shared, “Sheila has grown as a person. She’s not as psychotic as she once was,” all the while confirming that he wanted to keep the character around because of Brown’s acting. As he continued, “Kimberlin Brown is that good!”
The soap has also teased Sheila’s exit before, but she has managed to come back. Notably, in 2024, she was believed to be done for during a storyline in which she was stabbed by Steffy. However, Brown was back playing Sheila on the soap within a matter of months.
In other words, even if the soap is planning on having Sheila leave, she could always come back. It’s also possible she won’t leave after all. Ultimately, fans will have to keep watching The Bold and the Beautiful to see what happens next.
