Food Network has released a number of famous shows over the years. However, an inside source has claimed that one show could have already met its end. Reportedly, another show could soon be the center of the network’s attention.
One Seasonal Food Network Show Might Not Be Coming Back Next Year
A recent report claimed that a beloved Food Network show is in danger of being cancelled. However, this comes out as the network allegedly is turning its focus towards another show.
Reportedly, the network is looking at which shows to bring back next year. However, a ratings deal will mean one long-running show has already met its end.

Speaking with The U.S. Sun, an insider recently shared, “There are no plans to bring back Spring Baking Championship.” This series, a spin-off of the Holiday Baking Championship series, has been running since 2015.
According to the insider, the network is now turning its eyes toward another program. They continued, “The Ultimate Baking Championship is the network’s focus right now.” This program made its debut on Food Network back in March.
The insider cited ratings as the reason for the change. They shared, “Spring Baking Championship pulled in a fraction of the ratings that Holiday Baking Championship brings, which is one of the most-watched programs for the holidays.”
The insider also weighed in on another sister-series of the program, but didn’t seem too worried. They shared, “Halloween Baking Championship doesn’t get as much as Holiday, but a substantial amount more than Spring.”
The Insider Also Shared At Least One Name Set To Return To The Ultimate Baking Championship
At this time, fans have already noted that The Ultimate Baking Championship has already taken over Spring Baking Championship‘s place on the network’s schedule. Food Network hasn’t officially announced the show’s cancellation. However, the insider noted that the replacement is already taking center stage.
As for The Ultimate Baking Championship, the insider didn’t give too many details about the show’s return. However, they shared that things were already set in motion, with at least one person expected to return. As they shared, “The judges aren’t finalized but Duff will be back, he’s the glue.”
For his part, Duff Goldman also talked about what it was like working within the Baking Championship franchise earlier this year. As he shared with TV Insider, “It’s absolutely incredible. I think I have learned more about food judging the baking championships than I ever did in culinary school. Meeting so many incredible chefs who cook from different points of view has been really eye opening. I’ve also made so many friends with chefs that I’ve kept in touch with.”
“Another thing I love about it is being able to right some of the wrongs that I noticed when I used to compete. Judges used to be mean, dismissive, insulting, and arrogant. I try to always judge with kindness, empathy, and honesty.”
