Below Deck Charter Guest Accused Of Sexually Abusing Teenage Boy

Viewers expect the Below Deck charter guests to behave badly on the yacht with unreasonable demands. But one former guest is in serious legal trouble after being accused of sexually abusing a teenage boy.

Now, a former Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guest has been accused of sexually abusing a teenage boy. Barrie Drewitt-Barlow and his former husband, Tony, were one of the first gay couples to have a child through surrogacy in the UK. The former couple made headlines in 1999 after welcoming twins with the help of a surrogate. However, they split in 2019.

Barrie Drewitt-Barlow, Tony, and their new partners  were charter guests on the Bravo show in 2021. Five of their children joined them on the yacht. The group was reportedly a “nightmare” with constant demands and requests of the crew. Their multi-episode arc ended on a high note when Barrie proposed to his boyfriend, Scott.

But now, Barrie Drewitt-Barlow has been accused of horrible things. TMZ reported that the Below Deck guest has been sued for allegedly sexually abusing and trafficking a teenage boy. Now an adult, the victim claimed that Barrie Drewitt-Barlow offered him a place to live in 2014 when he was 16. According to the lawsuit, the victim is a distant relative of Barrie Drewitt-Barlow.

The victim claimed that Barrie began sexually abusing him shortly after he moved in. Furthermore, he claimed that he was trafficked because the abuse happened in the UK, the US and other countries. Barrie Drewitt-Barlow allegedly plied the teenage boy with alcohol and sexually abused him. The victim is asking for $25 million in damages. But the lawsuit isn’t Barrie Drewitt-Barlow’s only legal trouble.

Faces Charges In The UK Along With Ex-Husband

Barrie Drewitt-Barlow and his current husband, Scott, were arrested in May. They were later charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse. They were charged with rape, sexual activity with a child, and more. The couple allegedly groomed young male victims across the UK between 2013 and 2026.

The charges came a year after his ex-husband’s home was raided. Barrie Drewitt-Barlow and Scott return to court in September and their trial starts in January 2027. It’s unclear if the arrests are related to the lawsuit filed by his relative. Stay tuned for updates on the shocking case.
