While fans wait for news about Big Mouth Season 6 and whether it’s been renewed, they can still watch all five seasons on the streaming service now.
However, it turns out those waiting for an update don’t have to wait any longer.
The animated series has been one of the most popular shows on the platform since Season 1 launched. It centers around a group of kids who are just coming into puberty.
The story is told by having those kids helped along with their feelings by things called Hormone Monsters. It turns out there are quite a few other mythical creatures that impact these kids over the years including Shame Wizards and Depression Kitties.
Netflix Show Gets A Spinoff
The Netflix series is in fact so popular, it already has its own spinoff. Not long after the show had its fifth season released, a brand new program titled Human Resources was released.
This new show centered on the monsters and their invisible “co-workers” themselves. It showed how these creatures are assigned to different people in an office-like setting.
Created by many of the same people behind what would be Big Mouth Season 6 if it were to come, it had plenty of characters that fans of the original show are quite used to seeing and hearing.
“From the inventive minds that brought us the award winning adult animation favorite Big Mouth comes the even edgier and adult-ier Human Resources,” a press release read when the show was announced. “The spin-off pulls back the curtain on the daily lives of the creatures.”
“Hormone Monsters, Depression Kitties, Shame Wizards and many more – that help humans journey through every aspect of life from puberty to parenthood to the twilight years,” it continued. “It quickly becomes clear that though the protagonists are creatures, they have a lot of humanity themselves.”
Big Mouth Season 6 And More
Those who have long been hoping that the original show wouldn’t stop with Season 5 got some good news on Monday night. Not only is there going to be a sixth season, but there will also be a seventh.
In fact, it appears that Netflix is going all in. While Human Resources doesn’t have the same following yet, it’s still plenty popular. That’s why the spinoff already has a Season 2.
That both shows have been renewed is the good news. However, there isn’t a ton of detail on when they will release.
It’s thought Big Mouth Season 6 is coming later this year. But while Netflix announced the new seasons, it didn’t say when fans could see the show. Likewise with Human Resources as the streaming platform tends to hold back on announcing air dates until much closer to the show’s arrival.
