Bill Maher just confronted Hunter Biden with a blunt question related to his laptop scandal.

During the Friday, August 21 episode of Real Time With Bill Maher, the late-night host, 70, welcomed former President Joe Biden‘s son, 56, as a guest. He didn’t waste any time bringing up the controversial leaking of the contents of a personal laptop.

“Your obituary, the third word will be ‘laptop,’” Maher predicted. ” I know everything about the laptop, more things than I want to know. I’ve seen you with your d**k out. I’ve seen you with a crack pipe in your mouth.”

The stand-up comedian then quipped, “My question: Are you running for president?”

“I’m here to announce…” Hunter joked. “No, I haven’t. Here’s my thing: If I announce for president, then someone should check to see if I relapsed.”

Additionally, Hunter confirmed that he has been sober for seven years.

“I think I would say to you what I said to Charlie Sheen: You did some bad things, but I don’t think you’re a bad guy,” Maher told him.

Although Hunter conceded that he was “incredibly privileged” as the son of Joe Biden, he pointed out that the money he made while his dad was the vice president was “a fraction of a penny” of what President Donald Trump‘s kids have brought in during his presidencies.

“Just to put it in perspective, in the last 500 days of this administration, Don Jr.‘s company has taken in $3.4 billion in Department of Defense contracts,” Hunter said. “He got a $640 million loan pushed through by the White House,” he detailed. “… Forget about what they’ve done with cryptocurrency, which is a bank where they were able to go and launder their money. It is an abomination.”

He added, “And that doesn’t even include what Jared is doing and Ivanka is doing. He gets paid $100 million in fees by the Saudis alone for a $6.5 billion fund that he controls, which is all Gulf State money, and he’s our unelected, unappointed emissary to the Middle East for a war that nobody asked for.”

Earlier in the interview, Hunter also said that he apologizes to his father “every day” for his mistakes. “It’s one of the greatest heartaches of my life,” he confessed, of his struggles with addiction. “No matter what, he would be there for me. But it doesn’t make up for the fact that every night, he had to go to sleep when I was in that state and wonder whether or not I was alive, just after losing Beau.”

Hunter added, “As the addict, you gotta go, and you gotta make amends as much as you can. And sometimes, the greatest amend that you can make is just living life by doing the next right thing. That’s what I hope I’m doing right now.”
