What To Know

  • Bill Maher criticized Donald Trump and his assistant Natalie Harp on Real Time, referencing rumors about their close relationship.

  • He pointed out the irony of Trump’s strained relationships with former allies, suggesting Trump deserves to have at least one loyal friend.

Bill Maher just issued a blunt takedown of President Donald Trump and his executive assistant, Natalie Harp.

On the Friday, August 21 episode of Real Time With Bill Maher, the late-night host called out the POTUS, 80, and his close relationship with Harp, 35. Maher took aim at the duo on the heels of personal letters from Harp to Trump being published.

“The Democratic Party has a new attack dog, and he’s very good at it. Senator Jon Ossoff of Georgia, he really went after Trump this week,” Maher said during his opening monologue. “And in the middle of it, he mentioned Natalie Harp. It’s the young lady who works with Trump. When he got on the catering cart, she came with him off the plane. So this has sent all sorts of rumors going on now about their relationship.”

That’s when the stand-up comedian, 70,  mentioned that he was previously sued by dedicated Trump supporter Laura Loomer for joking about a romantic relationship.

“I won, by the way,” Maher added. “But it’s expensive and unpleasant to get sued. So I took one for the team. For this, you handle it.”

He continued, “Now, Natalie is kind of Trump’s emotional support employee. That’s true. She travels with him everywhere, and she brings a portable, wireless printer so she can print out flattering news articles. Trump is old school. He wants hard copies of the smoke blown up his ass.”

Trump then pointed out, “But that’s on him. I don’t know why you have to go after her. You know, she seems incredibly devoted to her job. Never takes a day off. Sometimes she works so hard, she forgets to eat and sleep. And now everyone in America is saying the same thing: Why can’t I get a Millennial who works like that?”

Finally, Maher mentioned that Trump was recently on his former lawyer Michael Cohen‘s podcast — and he tied that in with his comments on Harp.

“Remember Michael Cohen? His fixer who once called Trump a cheater, a liar, a fraud, a bully, a racist, a predator, and a con-man,” he said. “His own vice president, [JD] Vance, once said he might be America’s Hitler. His secretary of state, [Marco] Rubio, at the debate, made fun of his d*** size. Let the man have one f***ing friend, OK?”
