Dean & Caelynn Talk Wedding Regrets
Dean and Caelynn’s relationship got off to a rocky start. They met on Season 6 of Bachelor In Paradise and hit it off immediately. However, Dean threw a curveball into their romance by breaking up with Caelynn on her birthday and leaving the beach.
What’s with BIP and birthdays? Season 9’s Kat Izzo didn’t have a great time on her birthday either.
But Dean had a change of heart and returned to sweep Caelynn off the beach. She chose to leave with him, but they didn’t leave the beach engaged.
They dated for three years before Dean finally proposed in 2022. They wed in a lavish wedding in Colorado in September 2023.
Three months into their marriage, do Dean and Caelynn have any regrets? During a recent appearance on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, the two reflected on their wedding.
Dean told hosts Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt that he would have been happy with a courthouse wedding but was “glad” they had a bigger wedding instead. He called the ceremony the “best weekend” of his life.

But he had no idea what was happening on his own wedding day. He shared that he didn’t have much input in the wedding planning. “It felt like I was a guest at my own wedding,” he said, adding that it was “awesome.”
During their wedding weekend, the couple got matching tattoos. They had a history with the tattoo artist, which they detailed on the podcast.
“On our fifth date or something, we got matching tattoos. I wouldn’t recommend it; that’s so stupid,” he explained about the connection. They invited the same tattoo artist to their wedding.
Caelynn actually didn’t go through with the tattoo the first time but did on her wedding day.
Did The BIP Alums Film Honeymoon For New Show?
Dean and Caelynn chose an untraditional honeymoon. They spent the week in Tanzania, and it may be for a TV show.
Dean took to his Instagram to share photos of the adventure. “We also decided to officially call this our honeymoon because it was at the very top of our list,” he wrote on a carousel of photos from their trip.
He also shared that they weren’t alone on the trip. He tagged National Geographic and the Nat Geo Wild channel in the post, noting that footage was “shot for an upcoming show.”
