Bachelor in Paradise star Joe Amabile has just shared that he has a brain tumor. Moreover, he will undergo brain surgery, but there is a lot to his story. Keep reading for all of the details that he has shared amid this terrifying time.
Joe Amabile Finds Brain Tumor
Cancer finds its way around Bachelor Nation, with Katie Thurston battling breast cancer. She is working her hardest to overcome and live in the moment. Gerry Turner, who was the first Golden Bachelor, was diagnosed with incurable bone marrow cancer. Now, Bachelor in Paradise alum Joe Amabile is facing a similar scary time. He just revealed that he has an early-stage brain tumor. Moreover, he will undergo brain surgery to “get it removed and get it tested.” After that, he will have more answers, and then he will proceed.

This will all go down in two weeks, and he is less than enthused. Fans may recall that he met Serena Pitt in Season 7 of BIP, and the two became engaged. In 2023, they got married, but now, this is testing “in sickness and in health.” Joe made a video sharing how he learned that he had the tumor. It was discovered via an MRI and scans. Apparently, he had been undergoing them within the last month:
“I definitely wasn’t expecting this. I think it’s one of those things where you’re like, something like this never happened to me. And here I am, so yeah, I hope it’s — they say it’s really early stages. I hope they are able to get it all and I’m fine, but I will keep you updated.”
Joe Amabile had no idea if he would share this publicly, but ultimately, he chose to do so. Some may remember him from Dancing With the Stars, where he was partnered with Jenna Johnson. They came in 5th place.
Sending So Much Love
Joe Amabile is struggling to stay positive, which is understandable, but he is doing his best. This is hard to navigate, but luckily, he has people in Bachelor Nation to call upon. After he shared his candid video, fans, followers, and friends immediately chimed in:
- Wells Adams: Love you brother. You got this and we’ve got you! 🙏🏼❤️
- Serena Pitt: You’re so strong and we’re going to get through this together ❤️ I love you
- Jenna Johnson: Omg Joe! Sending you all the love and support ✨🙏🏼
- Joey Graziadei: Sending all the love and support brother ❤️ can’t wait to play a round of golf when you’re all better ⛳️
Hopefully, this is minor, and Joe Amabile heals up very fast. Are you shocked to hear this news? Let us know in the comments below.
