Kat Izzo asks for peace and understanding

Kat Izzo has been receiving a lot of backlash from her time on Bachelor in Paradise. She’s been labeled the season’s villain as well as being called a hypocrite. Olivia Lewis said she felt disrespected by Kat as well. Now, Kat can’t take any more of the hate she’s been receiving and she issued a statement on Instagram.

Kat actually issued two statements but she deleted one of them. Fortunately, the Instagram account Bachelorettewindmill grabbed a screenshot before Kat took it down. The statement said that she realizes there may be things during this season that have triggered some people.

She went on to say that is asking for peace. Kat shared that the past five weeks have been “overwhelming and mentally compromising” due o the negativity.

She also said every hour there is something new. Kat ended with “We are only human.”

Her other statement

Kat Izzo made another post that she did not delete. She shared four photos and issued a statement. She said, “On reality TV, being open and vulnerable is tough. It shows that, like everyone else, we have missteps in life. We are all genuine people, and I apologize if my actions on the show inadvertently hurt others.”

Kat continued by saying vulnerability is both a strength and a struggle. She also admitted that they are human and make mistakes. She also said, “Sharing our lives with the world takes a toll on our mental well-being. This is a call for understanding and kindness, not as victims or villains, but as people on paths to figuring out our own stories. Let’s recognize our shared vulnerability as humans and encourage growth, learning, and understanding as we deal with our imperfections.”

Fellow Bachelor in Paradise alums went to comment on her post and offered her support. They all agreed with what she said.

What do you think about Kat’s apology? Have fans been too tough on her?
