Bachelorette alum Blake Moynes is having a health scare while in Africa and his mom is asking everyone for prayers. What is going on? Keep reading to find out what is known.
Prayers for Blake Moynes
Emily Moynes went to Instagram to ask friends and fans to say a prayer for her son Blake Moynes. She said she was pulled over on the side of the road after getting a call from Blake who is in Africa. “Can we please just say a prayer for my Blaker.”
Emily went on to explain why Blake needs prayers. She said, “I just got a call from Blake. I haven’t heard from him very often. He’s in Africa and he’s been there for about a month. He doesn’t have phone service, but he’s down there fighting the poachers and saving the rhinos and elephants. He’s doing absolutely what he loves and he’s so passionate about his work. But four days ago he called and told me he had a really bad infection and that he had been treated.”
Now things have gotten worse. She continued saying, “Then I just got another call today and I’m starting to freak out. He just got out of surgery. Do you guys believe in the power of prayer? It doesn’t matter how old your kids are, the worrying never stops. I really could use some prayers for Blaker. I want him to come home. Just come home, Blake. I know you love what you’re doing, but you’re freaking me out. I’m ready to get on the next flight out to Africa, so say a prayer for Blake, please.”

Blake was on The Bachelorette twice. Once was to initially meet Clare Crawley and then Tayshia Adams when Clare left with Dale Moss. After not finding love with them he tried again with Katie Thurston. Blake did get engaged to Katie but then a few months later they called it all off. He recovered from their split and is still looking for the perfect one for him.
Now, he’s been quietly dating off-camera and really getting into his work. He is passionate about wildlife conservation which is what led him to Africa. He even has his own non-profit organization called Mowgli Moynes Fund.
Blake is always encouraging his followers to get involved and make a difference.
Aside from work he is very family oriented and is close to his mom.
