However, having come from a large family herself, some fans wondered if she would like to have more children afterwards. Recently, she weighed in on the discussion on social media.
Erin Bates Gave Birth To Her Seventh Child Back In August 2025
Erin and her family became known to a number of fans through various reality shows. These include United Bates of America and Bringing Up Bates.
As fans know, Erin is the third child of Gil and Kelly Jo Bates. In 2013, she married Chad Paine, and the two have gone on to start a family of their own. This includes her children, Carson, Brooklyn, Everly, Holland, Finley, William, and Henry.
After giving birth to her most recent child, Henry, Erin made headlines after stories came out that she had to spend time in the ICU. Developing a UTI and kidney infection, which sent her into septic shock, she also endured a severe seizure. Even after being discharged, she had lost function in her right leg, requiring the use of a walker and a wheelchair. However, she has since taken her first steps since her seizure.
Back in October, Erin took to Instagram to share, “I’ve cried until I laughed, and laughed until I cried. My heart is overflowing with gratitude. Jesus, You are faithful. You are the Healer. All glory belongs to You.”
The Bringing Up Bates Star Addressed Interesting In Having More Children Nearly A Year After Henry’s Birth
Erin’s parents, Gil and Kelly Jo Bates, famously had 19 children. Thanks to this, fans are curious if Chad and Erin would like to have more children, even after the past health issues.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Erin answered a fan question, “If your health wasn’t a concern, do you think you guys would want to have more kids?” For her part, Erin wasn’t against the idea.
As the Bates star shared, “Without a doubt, yes! We both just love kids and consider it our highest calling to raise them to know and love Jesus.”
That said, Erin noted that there are different ways to expand a family. She continued, “Maybe adoption in the future… I don’t know! I’m so thankful for the children the Lord gave us.”
