1000-Lb Sisters star Brittany Combs broke down during an emotional health update.

In a clip shared via Instagram from the Tuesday, September 15 episode of the TLC series, Brittany — Amy Slaton and Tammy Slaton‘s sister-in-law — received major news.

Bariatric surgeon Dr. Eric Smith informed her, “Your highest weight in our clinic was 236. Today, your weight’s at 166.” Brittany smiled and looked at her husband, Amy and Tammy’s brother, Chris Combs.

Dr. Smith then asked, “How long has it been since you’ve been 166 pounds?” To that, she admitted, “I don’t ever remember being that small.”

Next, Dr. Smith addressed Brittany’s A1C, asking her, “What was the main thing that we were trying to do for you with your surgery?”

She replied, “To eliminate my diabetes,” noting that at its highest, her A1C was 10.4.  And right before her weight-loss surgery, it was 9.7.

“I just want it to be normal, between 5 and 7, and roll with it,” Chris said.

Dr. Smith then revealed, “Your A1C right now is 5.9.”

“Normal,” Chris pointed out, to which Dr. Smith confirmed, “Yeah.”

The bariatric surgeon then declared, “So, you’re diabetes-free,” prompting Brittany to break down in tears and Chris to wipe his eyes.

To producers, Brittany confessed, “I never really thought the day would come that I would hear that I was diabetes-free. It was a lot of work, and I couldn’t have done it without my family supporting me.”

In the comments, 1000-Lb Sisters fans flooded Brittany with support and congratulatory messages. One Instagram user wrote, “Hell yeah!!!!! That is the most amazing news and amazing thing she could’ve done, keep going!!!!”

Another exclaimed, “I love this for Brittany! Congratulations.”

Someone else echoed, “HELL YES!!! SO HAPPY FOR YOU.”

A different follower shared, “Congratulations, Brittany,” alongside clapping-hands and red heart emojis.

Meanwhile, yet another fan commented, “Fabulous job, Brittany!!!!! So proud of you!”
