Brooke Shields in ‘You’re Killing Me,’ ‘FBI’ & ‘CIA’ Finales, President’s Day on Netflix

You’re Killing Me

It’s somewhat disconcerting to see Brooke Shields, now 60, to be seen as something of an old fogie, but she carries it off with good humor in a light mystery series set in a Hallmark-adjacent New England seaport. Sheilds stars as celebrated mystery-romance novelist Allison “Allie” Chandler, the toast of quaint Founders Cove. Like Murder, She Wrote‘s Jessica Fletcher, Allie has an uncanny knack for attracting dead bodies, and when a close friend is fatally thrown from a window during a local mystery convention, she gets to work. But hot on her heels, and often one step ahead of her, is brash young true-crime podcaster Andi Walker (Amalia Williamson), who scoffs at Allie’s brand of “escapist boomer fiction,” though in time-honored tradition, they soon form a grudging partnership. Tom Cavanagh (Ed, The Flash) co-stars as Jack Kerrigan, a newly installed chief detective fresh from Baltimore who initially seems more of a bystander as Allie and Andi smoke out a killer.

FBI

Things are much more serious on the Season 8 finale of the Dick Wolf procedural when a bioweapon is stolen, and the team collaborates with a former adversary to find the pathogen before New York City succumbs to an outbreak. Throughout, a shadow looms over the recently reassigned Special Agent OA (Zeeko Zaki), whose future with the team remains in doubt.

CIA

One mole down, one rogue agent on the loose as the FBI spinoff ends its first season with CIA spook Colin (Tom Ellis) reeling from the discovery that his former partner and paramour Toni (Angela Sarafyan), long thought dead, is actually alive and responsible for the death of traitorous counterterror agent Kevin Turner (Jake Matthews). While Colin, FBI sidekick Bill (Nick Gehlfuss), and their colleagues search for Toni, duty calls when the team is tasked to stop the shady Pyramid Security company from covering up their intelligence theft.

Sullivan’s Crossing

In the soapy drama, Maggie (Morgan Kohan) finally gets answers from her recently returned ex, Liam (Marcus Rosner), when he opens up about what happened in the past and why he’s back in her life. In her neurosurgeon practice, she tries to get to the bottom of what’s causing Tracy’s (Emerson MacNeil) fever, while her current flame, Cal (Chad Michael Murray), discovers Ben’s (Colby Frost) deception.

Presidential Biographies (streaming on Netflix): With Memorial Day one week away, and preparations underway to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday on July 4, it’s a good time to dig deep into our nation’s history. With that in mind, the streamer has licensed six biographical documentary miniseries from the History Channel, which originally aired from 2020 to 2025, depicting the lives of several of our greatest and most memorable presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt, and Franklin D. Roosevelt. Also available: The Great War from 2024, a four-hour survey of American involvement in World War I in the pivotal year of 1918.

Another segment finds pro wrestler Sting punking AEW World Champion Darby Allin by pretending to find a stolen bag of cash with police on the perimeter.
• Last Train to North America (9/8c, ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes): The travelogue by rail continues, exploring the soccer cultures of New York and Philadelphia, then on to Atlanta and Miami, as the cities prepare for the World Cup.
• Hollywood Demons (9/8c, Investigation Discovery): The season finale explores the dark side of reality TV, with cast members of MTV‘s controversial 16 and Pregnant recalling the struggles that followed their appearances, including homelessness, addiction, and even a raid by the FBI.
