Bringing Up Bates star Carlin Bates is officially reunited with her best friend, Joy-Anna Forsyth (Counting On). The ladies spent the weekend together in Tennessee, which is where the Bates family lives. Joy-Anna made the trip from Arkansas with her one-year-old daughter, Evelyn.
Carlin recently welcomed her second child, Zade Patrick, to the world, so maybe that’s what prompted the visit. Carlin also has a two-year-old daughter, Layla.
If you are a fan of both the Bates and Duggar families, you may know that Carlin and Joy-Anna are best friends. They grew up together, and they are still friends to this day.
Unfortunately, Carlin Bates and Joy-Anna Forsyth haven’t shared many updates about their reunion yet. So, fans haven’t gotten to see what they’re up to and how they’re doing. Right now, Joy-Anna is taking a break from social media. And many Carlin decided to minimize the amount of time she’s on her phone because they have limited time together.
Carlin did take a moment to share a special picture with her bestie, though.

In a new Instagram story post on Sunday, April 10, Carlin posted a new photo on her Instagram stories. In the snap, she and Joy-Anna are hanging out on the hammock together outdoors. Joy-Anna has both Layla and Evelyn in her lap, while Carlin snuggles with Baby Zade. The gang is all smiles as Evan, Carlin’s husband snaps a photo.
While sharing the photo with fans, Carlin wrote, “A chill Sunday with lots of good chats + taking care of the babies!”
It looks like Evelyn and Layla might be best friends like their moms are. The little girls are only a few months apart in age, and they seem to love hanging out together, based on this photo.
Hopefully, these best friends are able to get together again soon. Though there is some distance between them, they both seem to make an effort to visit whenever possible. They seem to enjoy their time together, and fans love seeing both of them so happy, too.
