If you follow Carlin on social media, you may know that she’s currently dealing with health issues. Since May, she has been having “episodes.” Typically, she will have seizure-like episodes and pass out. One of these episodes even led to her falling and getting a concussion. She’s been having many tests run and has spent quite a bit of time at the hospital.
Because of the severity of these episodes, someone has to be with Carlin Bates at all times, especially because she has two young kids. This has put a lot on her husband, Evan’s plate. Now, she’s showing her appreciation and giving Bringing Up Bates fans a look at what he does for her.
On Sunday, Carlin got on social media to give fans a full update. Despite recently upping her medications, she is still having these episodes. Despite this bad news, she had something positive to say.

On Sunday night, Carlin also posted a precious photo of herself laying on the couch as her two-year-old daughter, Layla, lay beside her. She said that Evan sent this photo to her because Layla was singing to her. In the post, Carlin called her kids and husband her “rock.”
Then, she said that Evan has done a lot for her and “put so much on hold” for her. He has had to press pause on his career, accompany Carlin to her many doctor’s appointments, help out with the kids, and much more. She called her husband “one of a kind.” She also acknowledged how hard this must be for him.
Carlin Bates continued and wrote:
“I don’t say it near enough, but I love you Evan. Thanks for always seeing the bright side of things and making me laugh. Wouldn’t want to do life without you!”
