Catherine Bach shared an emotional tribute to her late The Dukes of Hazzard costar Ben Jones following his death at 84.
On Tuesday, August 11, the actress, 72 — who played Daisy Duke in the action-comedy series — took to Instagram with a touching message for the actor who played Cooter Davenport. Jones died on August 9 following a heart attack.
“Ben, I’m going to miss you terribly,” Bach began the update. “But, you’re going to live on in all of our memories and hearts as one of the greatest human beings that ever lived.”
She continued, “Thank you for everything; for being an example of goodness, fairness, and fun! Thank you for being a rock in my life along with your amazing wife, Alma. Thank you for all the support with Sophia and Laura.”
To conclude her post, Bach shared, “You once told me, ‘We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a human experience.’ I love you, Ben. See you around.”
In the comments, Bach’s followers joined her in mourning Jones’ death and sending their condolences. One Instagram user wrote, “Love you, Ben, and Catherine said this beautifully.”
