Dion’s concert residency is set to take place at the Plénitude Arena in Nanterre, France. The event is made up of 26 shows, ending on May 29, 2027.
According to CBC News, Dion addressed the crowd, sharing, “I promised not to cry. Tonight I want to sing for you, for me, for life.” She continued, “Finally, It’s amazing we’re all together. I made a promise. I made a promise to come back and be back on stage.”
Thanking her fans, highlighting the “support” and “patience” she has received from them, Dio performed her 1996 hit “Because You Loved Me.” She then told the audience the song was about them tonight, musing, “If I may say so, I am everything I am because you loved me.”
