Chrishell Stause Slams Katharine McPhee Amid Her Support for Spencer Pratt’s Mayoral Run

What To Know

  • Chrishell Stause explained why she doesn’t trust Katharine McPhee’s opinion on men after the singer threw a fundraiser for Spencer Pratt’s mayoral run.
  • She called McPhee “insecure” and said she goes after “problematic men.”
  • Stause’s comments came after a TikTok video broke down McPhee’s relationship history, including controversies in her David Foster marriage.

Katharine McPhee and her husband, David Foster, recently threw a fundraiser to support Spencer Pratt‘s campaign to become the mayor of Los Angeles, and Chrishell Stause is not about it.

“If you’re in these streets campaigning for Trump backed Pratt, yeah, I’m gonna eye roll your advice on men Katherine [sic],” Stause wrote on Threads.

She previously called out McPhee’s support of “problematic men” in a comment on a TikTok video that explored the American Idol runner-up’s relationship history. “One day she will find her real inner confidence but it won’t come until after she is disgarded [sic] enough times by the problematic men she backs,” Stasue wrote. “An insecure woman will steal your man, and give the worst advice.”

The TikTok clip dove into McPhee’s relationship with Nick Cokas, who she was dating during her time on American Idol. He was 20 years older than her and they eventually got married in 2008.

Amid the marriage, McPhee was involved in a cheating scandal, the video noted. Photos surfaced that showed her kissing Smash director Michael Morris, who was also married at the time. “Katharine claims that she was split from her husband Nick for about six months, but Michael was still very much married to Mary McCormack and they had three small children,” the video creator noted.

According to the clip, McPhee and Cokas briefly got back together, but ended up splitting, with the divorce finalized in 2016.

The creator then broke down McPhee’s current relationship with Foster, who is 35 years her senior. He pointed out controversies throughout the marriage, including fans finding out McPhee was a Republican donor, as well as Foster publicly saying his now-wife was “fat” during her American Idol days (McPhee had an eating disorder when she was on the show).

He concluded with footage of her and Foster performing at the Pratt fundraiser, and said, “If you got nothing from this video, let me just end by saying this: Please, if you live in Los Angeles, do not vote for Spencer Pratt.”
