Collin Gosselin is set to make his debut in the new season of Special Forces and release his memoir. Yet, ahead of these milestones, the former reality star is clapping back at his mother, Kate Gosselin. So, what does he have to say? Keep reading for more details.
Collin Gosselin Has Long Spoken Out Against Kate
For years, Collin Gosselin has made it clear that his mother, Kate Gosselin, was abusive, especially toward him. She allegedly treated him like dirt, locked him in the basement, tied him up, and sent him away. Of course, she won’t acknowledge any of this and is acting as though this never happened, but it will all come out in his forthcoming memoir, In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood. This will hit shelves on October 13th, but before that, he will star in the new season of Special Forces.
Kate participated in the show as well, but she exited on day one after she suffered an injury. It is unclear how far Collin will go, but he was asked if he had anything to say to his mother if she was tuning in:
“Well, if she does, ‘Hey, Mom!’”
Collin went on to live with his father, Jon Gosselin. As many may recall, they all starred on the TLC reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8. Then, the duo divorced, and it went on with just Kate, but viewers never really cared for Kate. Now, she is being exposed by Collin Gosselin, as she has been over the last several years. Regardless of the drama between the two, Collin is not following in his estranged mother’s footsteps by appearing on Special Forces:
“I’m an adult now, and there’s enough of my life that my mom took from me and [my] childhood that she robbed from me, and this isn’t about her — it’s about me. It’s about growth. It’s about the amazing people I’ve met, and the amazing journey and adventure that we went on.”
Followers Are Over It
After years of Kate bashing, followers have grown tired of Collin Gosselin. They feel that he needs to let it go, but it is not that easy. He wants to be a voice for all of the children who can relate to what he has been through in his life. However, some are not so empathetic to his plight:
- She sure would not win any mother of the year awards, but he can’t seem to get along with any other members of his family either. He has been estranged from all but one of his siblings for years.
- Love or hate her, she raised 8 kids and didn’t kill them. That must mean something these days. Give this mother a break
- Team Kate. Extraordinary mom.
