Hannah Brown welcomed Daisy Kent onto her podcast and brought up a previous conversation she had with her. When Daisy appeared on the Better Tomorrow podcast, Hannah was concerned that perhaps she had an influence on her turning down The Bachelorette. What did Daisy have to say about it? Did Hannah Brown Encourage Daisy Kent To Decline Bachelorette?
When Hannah Brown found out that Daisy Kent turned down the opportunity to be The Bachelorette she grew concerned it was partly her fault. During Daisy’s appearance on the Better Tomorrow podcast, Hannah asked her about it.
Hannah said, “Did my phone call make you think, ‘Oh gosh, this is not a good idea?’” She continued to say, “I was worrying. I was like, ‘Did I just like … I didn’t mean to talk her out of it.’”
Daisy quickly assured Hannah that their conversation with each other had the opposite effect on her decision. Daisy said, “Your phone call was very good because you were like, I remember you saying, ‘If you’re gonna do it, just make sure you’re in a good spit with yourself.’ … Your conversation was really, really good for me, and it was nice to talk to somebody who had been through it all.”
She admired everything that Hannah had done and hoped to accomplish a lot herself one day. However, for now, Daisy is happy with her decision and knows that being The Bachelorette is just not the path she was meant to be on right now.
Hannah Still Hoped Daisy Would Have Accepted The Role
When the world saw Daisy Kent show up on stage for After the Final Rose, many including Hannah Brown thought that perhaps she had changed her mind. The way she was dressed also had Daisy’s friends thinking she had changed her mind as well. Daisy said, “All my friends were like, ‘Dude, we were all tripping because we thought you changed your mind or something and that you were lying to us.’”
Daisy also shared with Hannah that she doesn’t think being The Bachelorette will ever happen. She would turn it down again most likely. She is writing another children’s book and also a memoir. Plus, she just began a relationship with Thor Herbst. They met in college and reconnected following her time on The Bachelor.
Things seem to be going really well with them. The future is looking bright for Miss Daisy Kent.
