For many years, the 1993 Hocus Pocus film has been a staple of Halloween movie marathons. And now, the film’s fans have a huge reason to celebrate — there is a new trailer for Hocus Pocus 2!
Today, Disney gave fans a small taste of the film by offering a sneak peek into the world of the Sanderson sisters.

Halloween lovers are hyped for the new Hocus Pocus 2 trailer
Citizens of Salem beware! The children are in danger once again as teens light the infamous Black Flame Candle and bring the Sanderson sisters back from their graves.
At the end of the 1993 film, the main characters managed to vanquish the witches — but it doesn’t seem like they are gone for good. Disney reports that the sisters are back with a vengeance and ready to cause chaos in Salem.
“It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge,” Disney said in an official statement regarding Hocus Pocus 2. “Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.”
The good news about Hocus Pocus 2 is that Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker all stepped back into their roles as the iconic Sanderson sisters. There just isn’t anyone else who could step up and fill their shoes. Doug Jones will also reprise his role as Billy the Zombie from the first film.

When exactly can fans watch the new movie?
It’s still summertime, so don’t expect Hocus Pocus 2 to arrive on Disney+ just yet. The platform is waiting until the start of Halloween season to release the movie. But the good news is, fans have all October long to enjoy it.
The sequel to the Halloween classic will be available to stream on September 30, 2022. That’s just three months away, so the wait won’t be much longer. In the meantime, excited fans can enjoy the trailer and standby to see if Disney releases any new ones.
