No punches were pulled in the series premiere of Fightland, the crime drama from executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson set in the London boxing world. Onetime heavyweight champ Duke Kilroy (Howard Charles) succeeded in the first step of his plan to get revenge on his longtime promoter, the now-missing criminal kingpin Kingsley Marshall (Nicholas Pinnock) that Duke blames for ruining his life.
Duke reconnected with Kingsley’s kids Zeek (Charles Babalola) and CeCe (Anita-Joy Uwajeh), seen in TV Insider’s exclusive clip from the second episode, and talked his way into a job at their fancy gym. He then helped steal the family’s drugs and plant them in a rival’s property (the Marshalls are part of a criminal syndicate of Russian, Albanian, and Irish gangs who are unafraid to sucker punch each other). Duke’s goal was to create confusion and chaos and force Kingsley out of hiding to deal with the mess.

In this tense preview, CeCe and Zeek, who are not only dealing drugs but also struggling to expand the reach of the family’s boxing enterprise, face more fallout from the theft and offer different theories about why their dad has disappeared.
Uwajeh describes how the siblings have very different styles when it comes to approaching their high-stakes and potentially deadly dilemma. “Cebella is the one that’s more levelheaded and takes a little bit more time to reach the conclusions that she reaches,” the actor says. “Whereas Zeek is a lot more hotheaded and is like, ‘Nah, this is the choice that I’ve made and I’m going with it regardless of if it’s wrong or right.’”
