It was the best/worst night of the Big Brother season, depending on who you ask — Double Eviction night. By the end of the night, the final five were determined, and Drew Campbell seeled both of their fates.
After Angela Murray got voted out last week, the Houseguests all scrambled to try to do the same to the other icons. With a slippery Head of Household competition, a new Houseguest came into power, nominees were put on the block, a POV changed the game, and the Double Eviction left jaws on the floor.
Yash Patel was stuck in a sticky situation. He had made a deal with Survivor‘s Dee Valladares not to put up her or any of the icons on his next HOH. That deal was binding since she gave him $5,000 for her BB Bribe. Yash wanted to win HOH, so he could flush that deal out before it got to the end.
Meanwhile, he still only told the newbie Houseguests that his deal pertained to just Dee, not the others. They weren’t sure what to believe.
Plus, at the end of the week, another Houseguest was sent to the Jury house. Here is what went down in week 10.
CBS
HOH: In a slippery HOH competition, Houseguests had to collect water in their cowboy hat from cacti that sprouted water at different times. They then had to dump it into a tube to collect the ball inside. Whoever did that in the fastest time won HOH.
Yash won the competition in 11 minutes and 33 seconds. Taylor Brown was not too far behind, but she couldn’t quite beat his time.
Nominees: With limited options, due to the Bribe deal and being aligned with Taylor, it was no surprise that Yash put up Drew, Melody Morris, and Barrett Pfiffer, since they were the only other options.
POV: Drew came out victorious in the Pressure Cooker competition. He survived over 13 hours of standing on a pedestal, holding a long stick to a plate on a podium. After he and Yash made a deal that he wouldn’t put him up and wouldn’t vote out Taylor, Yash dropped, and Drew won.
He took himself off the block, and Yash had no other choice but to put up Taylor since the only other options left were the icons.
Blockbuster: In the final Blockbuster of the season, Melody shocked everyone and was the first to bank five balls in her tube after guiding them through a maze. It was her first competition win, and an important one. Barrett and Taylor remained on the block.
Evicted: In a three-to-one vote, Barrett was evicted from the Big Brother house. Drew, who was one of his biggest allies, voted to evict him, instead of leaving it a tie and having Yash decide his fate.
Double Eviction Results: Melody pulled out another win and won the DE HOH. She put up Dee and Rick Devens. Devens quickly won the POV and took himself off the block. After much deliberation, Melody put up Yash in his place. Instead of getting out an icon, Drew was the deciding vote and decided to vote out Yash, evicting him in a two-to-one vote.
The final five are Dee, Devens, Taylor, Melody, and Drew. Two Houseguests will be voted out this week as the Pharaoh Twist gets unleashed.
