Over the years, Olson has made headlines for multiple reasons. This includes his relationship with Maggie Sajak of Wheel of Fortune fame to his time playing “Banana Ball.” However, he recently made the news when it was announced that he would join Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars.
Olson is set to be a “star” and not a pro dancer. However, some fans wonder if his time with the Bananas has given him an unfair advantage when it comes to dance competitions.
Taking to Instagram, however, Olson tried to reassure fans of the reality show with a pretend conversation with someone who notes that he’s “already a dancer.” After all, as the video highlights, whether it’s on the baseball diamond or the stage, he might still have more experience than the other contestants.
When It Came To Denying The Allegations, Olson Decided It Was More Important To Show Instead Of Tell
Olson then rolled his eyes and shook his head. The video then cut to clips of his Savannah Banana performances. From spinning around to twerking on the field, Olson implied that his type of dancing was not exactly the kind expected for the show. As the caption highlighted, “Yeah, so, the first rehearsal will be interesting.”
Olson joined the cast back in May. Other stars set to compete this season include reality stars Ciara Miller and Maura Higgins, as well as Jimmy Kimmel Live star Guillermo Rodriguez. The full cast of stars and pro dancers is expected to be announced this September 2 on Good Morning America.
In fact, Olson previously appeared on GMA to announce his appearance on the show. Looking back at his career, he admitted he was surprised to find himself being a part of the show. He shared, “When I was a kid, I never thought any of this was possible. I was a shy kid that never danced, never put myself out there. Never entertained and found a passion for it.”
