Week 5 of DWTS is in the books, and unfortunately, another couple was sent home. This week, it was Guillermo and Witney Carson who were eliminated. As it turns out, their dancing journey ended on a rough note. Keep reading to find out what they have to say about it all.
DWTS Couple Sent Home
This week on DWTS, one of the fan-favorite couples went home. Guillermo and Witney Carson were sent packing with a score of 22 out of 40 points. The couple danced the salsa out to Tití Me Preguntó by Bad Bunny. It was Super Bowl night, so the song choice was very fitting considering Bad Bunny was the artist at the big game earlier this year.

Unfortunately, their salsa moves weren’t enough to let them advance to next week.
It’s not all bad, though. Since being sent home, Guillermo has made it very clear just how thankful he was to be on the show even though he knew it was going to be ‘hard.’
“It was amazing. It was a great experience,” he said.
Even though it was challenging, he still made sure to show up and do his best.
“It was fantastic. I thought it was gonna be hard, but it was too hard. It was very hard, but you know what? I was having fun every day that I go and dance every Tuesday. I would do my best,” he says post-show.
However, his partner, Witney, had some things to add too. Apparently, towards the end, the couple started struggling.
‘Breaking Down’ At The End
Witney and Guillermo have had it hard since the start. Not only is Guillermo new to dancing, but Witney is actually 20 weeks pregnant. Despite this, they still rocked the stage week after week. This whole time, Witney has been praising her partner and after being sent home, she continued that trend The Things reports.
“I never thought in a million years I would be competing on Dancing with the Stars 20 weeks pregnant, but Guillermo made it possible for me to do that. It was empowering to see what my body could do each week,” she says.
However, she also notes that both of them were ‘breaking down’ by the end of their journey.
“Towards the end there, we were both breaking down a little bit, but you know what? Women are amazing. It’s just a testament to what we can do and what we’re capable of.”
At the end of the day, it seems that the couple had a great time, and Guillermo even made some friends along the way.
“It’s a competition, but they’re good people. We became friends and everything. We changed numbers. I’m gonna go to lunch with Ezra, with Connor. We might go to a game on Saturday to see the Kings,” he reveals.
