Randi Naughton Spent Over Two Decades On Fox 2 St. Louis’s Morning Show & Hosts The More To Say Podcast
Naughton is a former newscaster for Fox 2 St. Louis. For around 23 years, she worked for the network’s morning show, working on a variety of stories, from weather to breaking news.
In 2022, Naughton announced that she would step away from her position at the anchor desk. At the time, she shared the news with a farewell article, in which she described her storied career. Following this, she became known for her More to Say podcast.
In a recent share on social media, Naughton opened up about a health issue in her family. Noting that she had been “off the grid lately,” she revealed that her daughter, Allex Matuszek, had been diagnosed with bile duct cancer.
The former TV reporter shared that Matuszek, who recently became a mother, had “tumors growing in her liver.” She noted that the situation was “very rare for a 32-year-old.”
Some Fans Shared Advice With The Family Advice, While Others Offered Their Prayers
Naughton noted that her daughter didn’t have symptoms and that the cancer was “found by chance.” She also shared that she had suspended her podcast to focus on her daughter, offering any help that she could.
Naughton shared, “Helping my daughter and my family through this journey is my job now. We will leave no stone unturned to get her the best treatment possible.” The former journalist described her daughter’s attitude as “amazing.” She also described her 6-month-old grandson, Crue, as her “why.”
Taking to the comments, fans expressed various words of support over the recent share. While some offered advice, having dealt with similar diagnoses, others offered their prayers. Some comments included:
