Family Feud is all fun and games for a lot of the time, with Steve Harvey bringing his wit and sense of humor to liven up the studio and make for a good episode. However, some players on the show make such epic blunders that even Harvey cannot save them, which is exactly what happened in recent scenes.
Family Feud: Steve Harvey Does His Best To Keep The Show Moving
Whenever Steve Harvey sets foot on the Family Feud set, it’s up to him as the host to ensure that things move along in a smooth fashion. He has to regularly find the balance between being fun and entertaining, but also, getting down to business when the situation requires it.
Of all the hosts that Family Feud has had since its debut decades ago, watchers agree that Steve is the best host that the show has ever had. When you consider the long tradition of game shows, that is saying a lot. Most viewers get attached to one host, particularly one who took the job early on and stuck with it.
However, the fact that Steve Harvey came on later in the program and won so many hearts and minds is a testament to his charisma, and his ability to be the captain of the ship.

Steve Harvey Could Not Save Player After Insane Blunder
While Family Feud viewers sitting at home can never truly know what it’s like to be on the game show set with all the bright lights and cameras, there are some mistakes that players make that go well beyond jitters or nerves. This is exactly what happened recently with one contestant on the show.
Based on a recent Family Feud survey question, Harvey read: “Name a US state where people say ‘y’all.” With a question like this, the thought process for most people would be to think of one of the southern states. While one player had the right idea in terms of region, she failed miserably when it came to execution.
The player said: “Atlanta.” While she had the right idea, the question asked for a state and not a city. The rival contestant instantly came back with, “Georgia,” which happened to be number three on the list.
Family Feud Host Roasts Contestant For Hilarious Gaffe
While some may be forgiven for blurting out the wrong answer in a high-pressure situation like Family Feud, Steve Harvey did not let this person off the hook so easily.
Steve said: “I ain’t gotta say nothing. And y’all go on, get in a huddle. So y’all can…So y’all can start discussing the difference between cities and states.”
