Ryan Murphy‘s Monster anthology is returning for its fourth installment — this time turning its attention to one of America’s most infamous murder cases, Lizzie Borden.
Following previous seasons centered on Jeffrey Dahmer, the Menendez brothers, and Ed Gein, Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story explores the shocking 1892 axe murders of Andrew and Abby Borden in Fall River, Massachusetts, and the daughter who was accused of committing the brutal crime before being acquitted.
Netflix has released several first-look images from the upcoming season, offering a glimpse of Charlie Hunnam and Rebecca Hall as Lizzie Borden’s father, Andrew, and stepmother, Abby “Ma” Borden, the wealthy couple whose brutal 1892 murders became one of the most infamous mysteries in American history.
Take a look at Hunnam and Hall as Andrew and Abby Borden in Netflix’s new series, along with star Ella Beatty as the woman accused of wielding the infamous axe, Lizzie Borden.
