How Gerry Turner And Theresa Nist Dealt With Arguing
Like every other couple in the world, Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist argue. While they argued it seems that things never really got intense during these disagreements.
Just a few weeks before their divorce announcement, Gerry and Theresa appeared on the Dear Shandy podcast. They talked about all sorts of things including how they settle arguments.
They admit they can be stubborn fighters. Gerry said, “I would say it’s more intellectual jousting to start with. Point, counterpoint, and then it’ll accelerate a little bit and we’ll start looking at each other like, ‘Really? I’m totally right.’”
When it comes to apologizing and ending the fight, Gerry says Theresa is better at that part.
Gerry used to be a divorce claims mediator and feels like this could have been counterproductive in arguments. When he used to do this he tried to be unattached and that is not how he is. He is more of an emotional person.
However, it seems there is one argument the duo just couldn’t overcome, long distance. Neither wanted to move away from their life and their families.
They Announced Their Divorce On Friday
Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist announced their divorce on Good Morning America on Friday morning. The two said they are still in love with one another but just don’t want to change their lives. They love their families too much to move around.
Some think there is more to the story than Gerry and Theresa have shared with the world. Many even wonder if their wedding was just all for show. Of course, they maintained that they really wanted things to work out between them.
They sat and held hands through the entire interview. That same day, Gerry filed for divorce in Indiana. Perhaps as time moves forward more will come out about their marriage and what happened off-camera to make them give up so soon.
