A few figures would be taking on new roles during the weekend, with many wondering what could happen next for some, including Somara Theodore. Recently, Theodore has opened up about her role with the network and what happens next.
Somara Theodore Joined Good Morning America In Early March 2023
Theodore is an American meteorologist and television personality. She became known to many through her work on ABC News’ Good Morning America Weekend. She had joined the network back in 2023.
Throughout her career, Theodore has also worked with a number of local stations. During this time, she even worked on Weekend Today while working with WRC-TV in Washington, D.C.
Recently, GMA Weekends announced a shakeup. In particular, Leslie Lopez would be taking over for the weather on Saturdays and Sundays, which is Somara’s previous role.
Since then, Theodore took to social media to keep fans updated with what’s going on her end. As she revealed at the time, “I have seen the comments, DMs and texts and I am so grateful that I have a village! Love ya’ll down!”
Theodore Explained That There Was One Special Silver Lining To The Recent Shakeup For Her
After thanking fans for their support, Theodore assured that she would still be working for ABC News. She continued, “Nonetheless and never to worry, I am still with the ABC News family and have transitioned to weekdays on ABC News Live Mon-Fri! I have been in this industry for over 13 years and have only had 16 months working a Mon-Fri schedule.”
Theodore also look on the bright side of things. Now that she would have weekends off, she could spend more time with her family.
As the share came to an end, Theodore concluded, “Something I have maintained and told anyone I mentor, in this life we do not own positions, merely the moments in the position and now I get to own the moment completely on ABC News live and in my best role yet motherhood! And to answer the question I get the most… you can tune into ABC News Live on Hulu and other streaming platforms. Love you, earthlings.”
