The Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner, pronounced “Gary,” tragically lost his wife in 2017. He hasn’t commented very much about how she passed. However, a new report has surfaced that gives a deeper look into her passing. Keep reading to find out more.
Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner lost his wife, what happened?
Gerry Turner has not said a lot about how his wife passed away. He has said it was a short six weeks after she decided to retire that she fell ill. Gerry said in his mind that she was robbed and he thinks about that every day. Gerry has not shared her cause of death publicly with fans.
The Sun shared details they obtained about how Gerry’s wife passed away. She fell ill in 2017 and while the initial cause of her becoming ill isn’t known, her cause of death was discovered via a public death certificate.
Toni Turned passed away on July 15, 2017, at 7:30 pm. According to the report, Toni was a patient at the hospital before passing away. She was a patient at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The immediate cause of death listed on the document is “cardiopulmonary failure” which is also known as cardiac arrest. The secondary cause of death was listed as “shock, sepsis and renal failure.”
Gerry’s wife passed away at the young age of 65 after being married to her high school sweetheart for 43 years. Toni and Gerry have two daughters Angie and Jenny, and two granddaughters, Charlee and Payton.
He still looks to Toni for approval
After taking time to grieve, Gerry decided that Toni would want him to find love again. He has her photo on his dresser and looks at it daily. Gerry noted that he and Toni had always said they wanted each other to be happy after one of them passed away.
He has the full support of his daughters and granddaughters who encouraged him to apply for the show. They were just as excited as Gerry when Jesse Palmer made the call to give him the exciting news.
