Bell first came to fame in her role as Lieutenant Colonel Sarah MacKenzie on JAG from 1997 to 2005. From 2007 to 2013, she portrayed Denise Sherwood on Army Wives.
However, Hallmark fans may know Bell best as Cassandra “Cassie” Nightingale in their Good Witch film series. Starting with a Halloween special in 2008, the story later spun off into a number of sequel films and a television series, which ran from 2015 to 2021. As the series started, Bell’s character is a young woman who moves to the town of Middleton, with locals soon learning that there might just be something “magical” about the newcomer.
Recently, big news has been announced for the actress. Bell is making her return to television. While her Hallmark debut came with one of the network’s most famous Halloween stories, she’s returning to the network in time for Christmas.
Fans Might Just See A Good Witch Reunion With Bell’s Hallmark Holiday Return
This comes as Hallmark debuted its 2026 “Countdown to Christmas” lineup of holiday movies and shows on September 17, which will run from October 17 to December 20.
One such series is Mistletoe Murders, which is returning for the third season. Sarah Drew’s Emily Lane solves local crimes as she runs her year-round Christmas shop. According to Good Housekeeping, Bell will be a special guest during the first two episodes.
Notably, the part will see her reunite with some other Hallmark alumni. This includes Kylee Evans, who played Stephanie on Good Witch.
