He’s paired with DWTS pro Witney Carson, who is several months pregnant. But Guillermo Rodriguez is the one gaining weight. After admitting that the main reason he joined DWTS was to lose weight, he shocked his buddy Jimmy Kimmel by revealing a huge weight gain.

“I do want to mention, one week from tonight, Guillermo, our very own Guillermo, will officially become a dancing star,” Jimmy Kimmel said on his late-night show on Tuesday, September 8. He asked his sidekick how rehearsals were going.

“It’s going good, Jimmy. It’s a lot of work. My body hurts, but I think I’m going to be doing this,” Guillermo Rodriguez replied. But after the practice, I go eat right away. I’m so hungry.” He guessed that he’d gained about ten pounds since he started rehearsing.

So, of course, Jimmy Kimmel had to weigh him. Guillermo Rodriguez said he weighed 210 in June. He now weighs 223. “You gained 13 lbs.,” Jimmy Kimmel teased.

What We Know About DWTS Two-Night Premiere

Dancing With The Stars returns for a two-night premiere on Tuesday, September 15, and Wednesday, September 16, 2026. The show kicks off at 8 PM Eastern and streams on Hulu and Disney+ the next day.

The return to a two-night premiere isn’t the only surprising change. The male celebrities start things off on Tuesday, September 15. The female celebrities get their turn on Wednesday.  In a shocking twist, an elimination will happen on both nights. The eliminations usually begin during Week 2 after the scores and votes from the first two weeks are combined.
