HGTV‘s Leslie Davis is standing up for her son via social media following a recent travel mishap.
The former Unsellable Houses star shares her three sons — Kyler, Cash, and Cole — with her ex-husband, Jacob Davis. In a Wednesday, August 19, Instagram Story post, Leslie revealed one of her kids found himself in a sticky situation during a recent summer trip.
“[Clear] your employees are trained to scam travelers that are in a rush and have no time to process the unclear information they are quickly scrolling through on the screens,” Leslie wrote alongside a photo of one of the company’s employees named Ola. “The fact that Olga [sic] signed up a 18 year old and charged him $55 in less than 5mins. Knowing he wold be denied at the end of the process.”
Clear is a travel identification company that uses biometrics to help speed up the ID check process. Leslie did not share specifics about her son’s travel plans, but claimed the company has had “no ability to refund his money or help him get the membership cancelled.”
She continued, “Now we have to call customer service (which they could not provide the number for) to get this membership cancelled and attempt to get a refund. Horrible service, Horrible Communication, 100% a SCAM.” (The company has not appeared to publicly address Leslie’s allegations.)

Aside from her son’s unfortunate travel situation, Leslie has shared glimpses of her fun summer activities on social media. “Been traveling a lot lately with Cole for lacrosse. Here are a few pictures that really capture our adventures together,” she captioned a June 26 Instagram post featuring snaps of herself and her son traveling by plane and car for Cole’s sporting events.
In a Sunday, August 16, Instagram upload, Leslie shared several pics and clips from the past month, including spending time with friends and family and attending an Ed Sheeran concert. “August was full…. Hearing loss from a concert to peace and quiet in the garden, with a wedding and lake days in the mix! Balance, right?” she wrote.
Leslie isn’t the only HGTV star to recently call out an online scam. Earlier this month, Married to Real Estate stars Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson asked fans for help taking down a social media account posting misinformation about them online.
“There’s a page on Facebook. It’s called Property Pioneers. … We need your help to go on Facebook and get Facebook to take this page down because when I say the damage that they are doing and the thousands of people that are believing the stories — I mean, literally, my children asked me if I had cancer, because the story has traveled so far and wide, and it’s made-up,” Sherrod shared in an August 9 Instagram video. Jackson added, “Just pay attention to not just that page, anything. Again, if it didn’t come from us… There’s a lot of AI being used.”
In a follow-up video, Sherrod showcased some of the page’s stories, falsely claiming Sherrod was battling cancer and accusing her of stating children’s cartoons shouldn’t feature LGBTQ+ themes. “That’s a dangerous, dangerous post, because that’s not true,” she stated.
