What To Know

  • The owners of the Heirloom Hotel, featured in Home Town: Inn This Together, are rebuilding after a major fire delayed the hotel’s opening.
  • The owners shared how fans can support them amid the rebuilding process.
  • The hotel also announced it is selling photo rails made from the building’s original flooring.

The owners of the Heirloom Hotel are responding to concerned fans as the rebuilding process continues.

The renovation of the hotel was the subject of Erin and Ben Napier‘s latest Home Town spinoff, Inn This Together, which wrapped its four-episode run on Sunday, May 31. In the finale, the Napiers and their friends Jim and Mallorie Rasberry and Josh Nowell showed off the completed hotel to local officials. However, the episode ended by showing the aftermath of the August 2025 fire that severely damaged the hotel, delaying its official opening.

The hotel’s owners documented their renovation experience on The Heirloom Podcast. During the podcast’s latest episode, which was filmed just 30 days after the fire, Jim and Nowell addressed ways fans could support them during the rebuilding process.

“In day one, two, three, the first week, we had so many people wanting to give to us from a GoFundMe,” Nowell stated in the episode, which was released on Saturday, May 30. “And I want to say, first of all, thank you. Thank you for caring enough, understanding what a fire does to people financially. That meant and means so much to us.”

Instead of a GoFundMe fundraiser, Nowell and Jim encouraged listeners to support their local communities. “Find someone in your community who has suffered with fire or loss and fund them, help them. We are grateful for that, and I think that would go a lot further in your own community,” Nowell said. “So, thank you guys for offering to do that, but that would be my first recommendation on donations. Give it to people in your community who went through fire, charities, or churches that you trust in your community.”

Jim added, “Somebody in your community is doing something that isn’t paying them, that isn’t building up their image in the community. They’re not doing it for themselves. They’re doing it for the people in your town. There’s somebody there, I promise. I want you to find them. I want you to find them and give them an encouraging word. And if you can’t help with money, help with time, even if it’s just one small little thing, because, man, those folks out there that are contributing because they feel like it’s what they’re supposed to do, they get discouraged.”

As for other ways people can support the restoration of the Heirloom Hotel? “It would mean so much if you would subscribe to our YouTube channel. Subscribe to our email, The Heirloom Family, so that you can keep up to date with what we’re doing,” Nowell shared. “When people watch what we’re doing, it’s another form of encouragement. When people actually make comments and they watch our content, whether it’s Home Town or down to just the podcast, that means so much to us. So, thank you guys for doing this, and we hope it’s valuable.”

Following the finale of Home Town: Inn This Together on Sunday, the Heirloom Hotel’s official Instagram page announced that fans could support the rebuild by purchasing a photo rail made from the hotel’s original flooring.

“It makes us feel encouraged as we look at these, that no matter how damaged — beautiful things can still come from the ashes,” they captioned the post. “We build because of the people we’re building for and we hope you will too.”
