Scott McGillivray is returning to HGTV for a brand-new series, and he wants fans looking for home design help to apply for the show.

The TV personality took to Instagram on Thursday, August 6, to share an open casting call for his upcoming unnamed HGTV series. “We have big news. Today, I am kicking off casting for an exciting new HGTV renovation series hosted by me,” he says in the clip. “So, if you own a property in the GTA and you’ve got space that’s not living up to its potential, then I want to hear from you. That’s right.”

McGillivray continued, “Whether it’s an unfinished basement, an underused garage, a laneway, an attic, or another overlooked opportunity, guess what? I’m gonna help you unlock its income potential and make your property work harder than ever. And you’re not sure where to start? Then I’m here for you. Check out the link in bio and apply today.”

In the post’s caption, he added, “Casting is officially open. Show me your overlooked space, and I’ll show you its potential! Apply now through the link in bio.”

According to the official casting website, those selected to appear on the series will receive “expert design guidance and renovation expertise from Scott and his team,” “expert project management throughout the design and reno process from our in-house team,” and “an amazing experience you’ll never forget! Plus so much more…”

As for casting requirements, applicants must be 18 years old as of September 1, 2026, own the property that would be renovated on the show, and the property must be located in the Greater Toronto Area. Additionally, applicants must have a budget minimum of $50,000 and be available to shoot for three days during the filming period of Fall 2026 to Winter 2027.

Applicants must not have any affiliations with McGillivray Entertainment Inc., be involved in any current legal proceedings, and may be required to temporarily relocate during filming. As a part of the application, hopefuls must share photos of the space they want renovated and submit a “3-minute video introducing yourself and your project. We want to get to know you, your property, and your vision.”

McGillivray has been an HGTV mainstay for several years, having appeared on shows such as Income Property, Buyers Bootcamp, Scott’s Vacation House Rules and more. McGillivray competed alongside Brooke Hogan on Season 7 of Rock the Block earlier this year and currently stars alongside Bryan Baeumler on Season 3 of Renovation Resort Showdown.

McGillivray previously teased that he had new HGTV projects in the works. “I am coming home to HGTV. I cannot be more excited,” he said in a June 25 Instagram video. “We have some incredible new series. We’ve got design, construction, transformation, real estate investing. It’s all coming your way.”
