The Agency returns for its second season on Sunday, June 21, 2026, with all 10 episodes dropping at once on Paramount+, plunging viewers back into the high-stakes world of international espionage. Starring Michael Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hugh Bonneville, Richard Gere, and Bilal Hasna, the acclaimed spy thriller picks up after the explosive events of Season 1.
Adapted from the hit French drama Le Bureau des Légendes (released internationally as The Bureau), which ran for five seasons and 50 episodes, the series has quickly become one of Paramount+’s biggest successes. Its first season drew 5.1 million cross-platform viewers globally during its first weekend, making it Showtime’s most-watched new series and paving the way for Season 2.
As Season 2 gears up to continue the story of Martian, fans are left to wonder: Will the series continue for a third season? Here is everything we know.
Will there be a Season 3 of The Agency?
No official announcements have been made regarding a Season 3 for The Agency. However, because the series is a remake of the acclaimed French drama The Bureau, which ran for five seasons, there is plenty of source material to adapt should there be another season.
What is The Agency about?
The thriller follows Brandon Colby (Fassbender), better known by his CIA codename “Martian,” a covert agent who returns to London after being ordered to abandon his undercover life. When his former girlfriend, Samia (Turner-Smith), reappears, their romance reignites. His career, his true identity, and his mission are soon at odds with his heart, plunging them both into a deadly world of international intrigue and espionage.
The series also offers a deep dive into the inner workings of covert operations as one of their own, an operative known by the codename Coyote, is captured during a mission, setting off a high-stakes race against time.
What was The Agency Season 2 about?
Samia is a political prisoner in Sudan, and Martian will do anything to try to save her, even if it means treachery. Martian must put his life and his career in jeopardy in order to save her.
