Jelly Roll Moves On From Music, Makes Major Career Change

- Advertisment -

Jelly Roll has ventured out over the years, hosting, judging, and doing collaborations. Yet, he has pretty much stayed faithful to his successful music career. Now, he is moving on and has made a major career change. Keep reading for more details on what he is up to.

Jelly Roll Has Changed Career Paths

There is so much that Jelly Roll has conquered in his forty-plus years on Earth. He went from being a felon and living a life behind bars to getting out and undergoing a drastic transformation. Jelly was incarcerated when his daughter, Bailee Ann, was born. However, he ended up gaining full custody of her. Additionally, he found lasting love with podcaster Bunnie Xo. Together, they built an incredible life, with their careers blowing up and out of this world. When it seemed they could not get much higher, Jelly opted to change his life and try a new job.

He recently posted that he was venturing out and opted to try his hand at stand-up comedy. Jelly has no problem poking fun at himself. In the past, he noted that he wore new socks every day. He reasoned that he could not be overweight and have bad-smelling feet. In Nashville, Tennessee, he took the stage and noted how nervous he was. He has told jokes in the past when he performs, but he always sings along with them. This was a whole new bag of tricks, but he was brave enough and did it.

Fans in the audience celebrated Jelly Roll’s first attempt at comedy and did not shame him. It seemed that they loved seeing that side of the performer and how he just let loose. That seems to be a common thing for Jelly, as he has no trouble letting go and being free.

A Celebration Of Life

Those who were in attendance at Zanies in Nashville were ready for a good time. However, anyone who got to see Jelly Roll for a few seconds via the Internet applauded him just the same:

  • That warms my heart to watch his transformation…Living the dream
  • I’d pay to see a comedy show!
  • One of the reasons I moved to Nashville was to chase the dream of gracing the stage of Zanie’s. Sacred ground for sure.
  • I really like how you’re trying other avenues of entertainment. I’m really glad that you’re a wonderful, and blessed person who tries out to expand his repertoire.

It will be interesting to see if Jelly Roll does more in the way of comedy because people seem to like anything and everything that he does. Can you see him doing stand-up? Finally, would you go to one of his shows? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
