As HGTV fans continue to await Fixer to Fabulous Season 8 renewal news, Jenny and Dave Marrs celebrated another major family milestone.
Jenny took to Instagram on Friday, May 29, to celebrate her and Dave’s twin sons, Nathan and Ben, turning 16. “SIXTEEN! I still picture you both as the itty-bitty preemies who fit in the literal palm of your dad’s hand or the rambunctious toddlers who giggled as you emptied every kitchen cabinet while my back was turned loading the dishwasher or the little boys who pretended to be gold miners out by the pond or the bigger kids who loved parkour and practiced ninja warrior techniques off the sofa,” Jenny wrote.
She went on to gush, “The number of kitchen dance parties and soccer matches and basketball games I’ve watched over the years seems endless and, yet, barely enough. I find myself holding on to every single moment with you knowing these precious days under our roof are fleeting – watching you learn to drive (two new drivers!) or listening to you relay funny stories from school or hearing about girls (my heart hasn’t been ready for that one).”
Though Jenny said watching her sons grow up “feels like a goodbye,” she also described their milestone birthday as a “beautiful hello to this new version of who you are becoming.” She continued, “You are now these young men who are generous and kind and hardworking. You’re gentlemen who hold doors and carry heavy packages for me and mow the lawn when you see the grass is too long. You are little entrepreneurs and leaders and (one of you) inherited my sarcastic sense of humor. I love adventuring with you and exploring new places together while watching you gain independence and confidence as you navigate the world around you.”
Jenny concluded her birthday tribute by stating that she “couldn’t be more proud” of her twin boys. “I love you with my whole heart and I’m immensely grateful that God saw it fit to make me a momma first with the gift of the two of you,” she stated. “Happiest of birthdays to you boys. I love you to the moon and back times a million trillion!!”
Nathan and Ben are the eldest of Jenny and Dave’s five children, along with daughters Sylvie and Charlotte and their youngest son, Luke. Jenny’s post featured a handful of recent photos of the boys, along with several throwback snaps of the twins as little kids. The post’s last few slides featured adorable pics of Jenny and Dave with Nathan and Ben as newborns.
Fans sent the twins their own birthday messages and gushed over the childhood photos in the post’s comments. “WE LOVE YOU BEN AND NATE!! Happy Birthday to those amazing boys!” one person wrote. Another added, “Happy bday to your twins! One looks like you and one like Dave! Cute guys!”
Someone else shared, “Awesome memories! Thanks for sharing!” A different person posted, “Love the picture of the boys sleeping on your chest.” A separate user commented, “Always love crying when I see these posts…Happy 16th birthday.
