The Jeopardy! puns keep coming. Ken Jennings shared a rare tribute to himself that is on the Sony lot, where the game show is filmed. Fans freaked out about it and asked where they could get one.
On June 6, Jennings shared a photo of himself in his dressing room, holding up a napkin. The white square had a yellow border around it, with a photo of Ken and the words “Have a napKen!”
“A new coffee cart on the Sony lot, The Daily Double, has the usual spoons, stirrers, napkins, etc. But there’s a ‘chase card’ too, a collectible for the real napkin-heads. One in every 20 or so napkins is actually…” he captioned the post.
Reddit users shared a post about the new cart opening, showing off other items from the cart, including a coffee sleeve and a napkin that says “The Daily Double.” The cart is featured near the Overland parking structure.
The Daily Double is for production staff, cast, and crew rather than the general public. Fans said that they wanted the napkins to be available in the Jeopardy! merch store, with some saying they would sell a kidney to get their hands on one.
“This is the kind of Jeopardy! merch I NEEEEED,” one fan commented.
“What’s the going rate on the dark web for these bad boys? I got two kidneys, surely I don’t need both…” another wrote.
“Kidneys are overrated anyway,” a fan replied.
“When is this hitting the merch shop bc I NEED these for all the parties!!!” an Instagram user said.
“Where can we get our hands on these!! I didn’t know I needed this, and now every time I hear ‘napkin’ I will know you have the best napkin ever!” a fan wrote.
“Haha! I need one of these. You are so cute,” a fan said.
“I think they’re telling you that you deserve to have a nap,” multiple fans said.
“That’s so clever,” another wrote.
Other fans pointed out the irony in the napkins, since Jennings is known for not drinking coffee and they are at a coffee stand.
Jennings is not the only host with a tribute to him. Alex Trebek had the Jeopardy! stage named after him, and there’s a plaque for him outside the studio.
